Meet Our Leader

Alessandra Desiderio is a policy strategist, development finance expert, and advocate for social and environmental justice. A registered lobbyist, she has led policy and advocacy efforts across Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico, Washington D.C., and beyond, focusing on finance, water, agriculture, and crisis response. Her work also extends internationally, with service in France, Italy, England, and Australia, where she has engaged in policy development and global sustainability initiatives.

Alessandra is a 2025-2027 Colorado Agricultural Leadership Program fellow and a recipient of the 2025 Colorado Water Congress Career Accelerator Award. Her achievements include the Denver Business Journal's Outstanding Women in Business Award for Finance, the Colorado Bravo Awards Rising Star Award, and recognition as a runner-up for the ColoradoBiz Gen XYZ Award. She has also completed the Opportunity Collaboration OC365 Fellowship and the Council of Development Finance Agencies Caren Franzini Fellowship.
